ABOUT CASEY

Casey McCabe is a Chicago-based radio host you can hear weekdays from 2–7pm on 101.9 The Mix, bringing pop culture, music, and real-life moments to the Afternoon Mix.
Known for his quick wit and relatable style, McCabe keeps listeners in the loop with his “3 Big Things” and makes the drive home better with the “4:30 Commercial-Free Ride.” He’s also behind fan-favorite segments like “Name It In A Note,” where one second of a song can score some of the hottest tickets in Chicago.
Before landing in Chicago, McCabe spent over a decade in Los Angeles as the night host at 97.1 AMP Radio, where he helped launch the station as its first DJ.
He began his career at KRZQ in Reno, later working in Las Vegas before making his way to the world-famous KROQ in Los Angeles.
Throughout his career, he’s interviewed some of the biggest names in music, including Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, Hozier, Lewis Capaldi, Megan Moroney, Raye, Alex Warren, Chappell Roan, and more.
He also contributed to The Daly Download with Carson Daly. In 2025, he was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
Off the air, you’ll find him at concerts, traveling, or staying active—most recently completing the Chicago Triathlon.
